I'm Nittai Malchin, a senior at Palo Alto High School in CA and the founder of One Love Advocates. Our mission is to do whatever possible to improve access to education in communities that are struggling with destructive or endemic problems. My immediate focus is helping kids in Haiti gain access to educational opportunities. I recently traveled to Haiti, and I will be documenting my trip on this site. There are 4 sections (see navigation above) to my mini site: (1) my blog where i document my activities, impressions and thoughts from Haiti (2) About One Love where you can read more about the initiative (3) Support One Love where you can learn how to get involved, donate or help (4) contact info. And on the right sidebar you will find more info such as links to other sites, feeds, photos, videos, and ways to contact me or share One Love with others. Also, check out the cool toolbar on the bottom of your screen to see our videos, photos, and Facebook page, for translations, and more. Thank you for visiting and feel free to share your thoughts.

Support One Love

The disastrous earthquake that hit Haiti crippled what was already a suffering education system. In partnership with Prodev (prodevhaiti.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a brighter future for Haiti, OneLove Advocates has initiated efforts aimed at improving life in Haiti through educational development.

OneLove is a non-profit initiative with no overhead, so 100% of your donations will go directly to making a difference in the lives of Haitian children. We have partners on the ground who interact with the Haitian people on a daily basis so that we are always aware of the most glaring needs. We help set up and sponsor schools throughout Haiti by supplying them with computers, supplies, generators, and paying for the salaries of teachers. Join OneLove in our efforts to create a better future for Haiti.

Interested in our cause? Here's how you can help...

Donations: One-hundred percent of funds for One Love Advocates go directly to relief and development projects. If you aren’t affiliated with a school, but still want to help, please consider donating too. Thank you.

Students: Join us for volunteer and fund raising work. Donate whatever amount that works for you. Involve your school in adopting a school in Port-Au-Prince. And potentially join me in a follow up trip to Haiti in the Summer of 2010 - visit the partner schools, meet Haitian teens and volunteer your time and energy on the ground! For more information, email me at Nittaimalchin@gmail dot com or call 650-204-1LUV.

Teachers/Administrators: Help us develop lasting Partner School relationships with schools in Haiti. I am working on a plan in which schools here in CA will "adopt" a school in Haiti. Partner schools will sponsor Haitian schools and help pay for teacher salaries, books, technology, generators and more. Students will be able to interact with the kids in Haiti and experience the direct effect of their efforts and donations.
